Where we are headed

Our Vision

We aspire to “leave things better” each day.
Leave Things Better - Company Tagline

Data is used as a guiding compass.

Our ethos is “to leave things better.” From iterative improvements of the most basic task in life, to nature all around us that we love, to our communities that we cherish, we believe that always leaving things better is our responsibility and standard.

How we are getting there

Our Mission

Weblife is focused on understanding how ecommerce works and evolves by having the deepest possible understanding of online behavior

Since 2008, we have built a track record of success. We’ve done this by having great people operating in a culture of growth, ownership, and principles.

We translate that understanding into great portfolio companies and meaningful relationships.

This is who we are

Our Culture & Values

Culture

Culture is the set of characteristics, beliefs, values, behaviors, norms, and habits of a group lived out every day.  It’s not just something we create and bury inside of our company handbook. We really believe in this and depend on the contribution of all team members.

Values

Cultivate Growth

Key traits

Humility, Curiosity, Observation
Growth is best achieved by approaching every situation with curiosity; not seeking to be right, but to understand. Cultivating growth means to actively seek out other perspectives while following the rule, “seek first to understand, then be understood.” Growth and learning are a road to be traveled rather than a race to be won. New experiences and information aid in the understanding of the world, oneself, and others.

Growth requires us to lean into areas of discomfort — becoming aware of blind spots and being willing to take action to change harmful, ineffective, or unhealthy habits. Humility is a key trait of someone seeking to grow. It is unlikely growth will be achieved without high levels of humility and curiosity. Seeking out insight and truth is best accomplished by pursuing objective awareness.

Embrace Ownership

Key traits:

Committed, Consistent, Empowering
Ownership is taking the initiative to bring about positive results. It means not waiting for others to act.  It is being accountable for the results of your actions – that are of the highest quality and delivered in a timely manner. Taking ownership shows others that they can trust you to do the right thing.

It’s important to note that many times taking ownership of a situation means empowering someone else to get the job done. Knowing when not to act is just as important as knowing when to.

Pursue Connection

Key traits

Empathetic, Understanding, Protective
Pursuing connection is operating from the core belief that everyone needs to feel seen, valued, accepted, and feel a sense of belonging. There is a great emphasis on not just working to get results but to take care of one another in the process. It takes more than just one person to make a team and accomplish something great. If one person on the team needs help, the rest step in to cover, encourage, and protect. It is vital to the health of the individual and the team for everyone to be connected, have empathy, and value the whole and the parts of the team.

We can operate from connection both with our team members and with our customers. When pursuing connection with customers, it is vital to seek to understand and form a bridge of empathy for common experiences. When customers feel a sense of being heard and met with empathy, they are likely to not just value our products, but the experience they have with our team.

Live by Principle

Key traits:

Integrity, Discernment, Objectivity, Determination
Living by principle is faithfully following a set of principles rather than abandoning them when convenient. If faced with a seemingly difficult decision in life with a need to deduce the correct action, refer to a guiding set of principles. Living this way is not cheap or easy and will require high levels of tenacity to follow through when faced with challenging situations. Principles are not a way to get around doing the right thing–rather–they are the set of beliefs that help guide the way back to values and integrity.
